Mark Bradshaw received his Master of Science in Money, Banking, and Finance from the University of St. Andrews, and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Strathclyde. In his early career as an Economic Consultant for SQW, Mark specialized in developing strategic frameworks and accompanying action plans for local councils, Government, and private sector companies that focused on innovation, access to finance, education, health and social care. Prior to his position with the Michigan Value Collaborative (MVC), Mark served as the Associate Vice President of Provider Analytics and Strategy at Blue Health Intelligence. As MVC’s Director, Mark leads the development, implementation, and continued refinement of MVC’s strategic framework and long-term growth strategy. 

Dr. Hari Nathan is a board-certified complex general surgical oncologist and Associate Professor of Surgery with Tenure. Dr. Nathan completed both his undergraduate and medical education with honors at The Johns Hopkins University. He also completed advanced training in health services research and was awarded a PhD from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Nathan completed his clinical residency training in general surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He subsequently completed a clinical fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he also served as the Chief Administrative Fellow in Surgery. He joined the faculty of the University of Michigan in 2014. Dr. Nathan's clinical focus includes the multi-disciplinary treatment of tumors of the pancreas, liver, bile duct, and stomach. Dr. Nathan works to improve the value of surgical care for patients and payers. His health services research portfolio focuses on variation in the cost and quality of surgical care, and he seeks to identify strategies to improve outcomes and control costs. Dr. Nathan is heavily involved in national and regional efforts to improve the value of healthcare services, and he serves as the Medical Director of the Michigan Value Collaborative.

Jessica began her career in healthcare as a nurse over 23 years ago. She has worked as a clinical nurse in the adult and pediatric emergency departments, labor and delivery, and ambulatory care.  In 2018, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Michigan and transitioned to working in healthcare quality improvement as a site engagement coordinator for the Obstetrics Initiative (OBI). Prior to her current role as the Engagement Manager for the Michigan Value Collaborative, Jessica was the Senior Business Process Consultant in the care management department at Michigan Medicine, where she developed to launch the University of Michigan Physician Advisor Program, and provided strategic planning support to the nursing and medical directors.

Jiaying Zhang (“Janet”) is a healthcare data analyst with a master’s degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and three years of experience at the Michigan Value Collaborative. She specializes in designing custom reports tailored to hospitals’ and health systems’ specific needs, translating complex claims data into clear, actionable insights that answer clinical questions. She also develops scalable push reports that provide consistent, system-level insights across the collaborative and support standardized performance tracking. Janet is skilled in working with large, complex claims datasets and transforming them into meaningful information for clinical and operational teams. Known for her attention to detail and structured approach, she continuously refines reporting processes to enhance efficiency and reliability while supporting data-driven decision-making.

Alex Callaway is the Director of Organizational Quality and Patient Safety for Munson Healthcare’s Community Hospitals where she oversees regional and system-wide efforts to align and provide optional patient outcomes in Munson’s critical access and acute care hospitals. She has a background in statewide resource research, clinic operations, and building project management.  She is from Northern Michigan and is committed to serving her friends, family, and neighbors through rural healthcare.

Emily Nerreter has served as Manager of Pay for Performance & Registries at Henry Ford Health since October 2018. In this role, she partners with clinical and operational leaders to advance systemwide collaboration, standardization, and performance optimization initiatives. Previously, Emily was Manager of Population Health, leading Medicare Advantage–focused medical coding team within Henry Ford Medical Group. Her earlier experience includes roles as Financial Analyst II at Health Alliance Plan and Medical Review Data Technician at WellPoint/National Government Services, supporting Medicare Part B jurisdictions in Indiana and Kentucky. Emily holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business Management from Northwood University and a Master of Business Administration from the Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management. She maintains Certified Professional Coder and Certified Risk Adjustment Coder certifications through the American Academy of Professional Coders and has participated in Henry Ford Health’s Healthcare Equity Scholars program and Inforum’s Momentum Mentors program. Emily is an active member of Inforum’s Southeast Michigan Regional Council and supports the Henry Ford SandCastles Grief Support Program through volunteerism and fundraising.

Stephanie Pins-Schallip is the system Director of Value Based Care for MyMichigan Health primarily focusing on improved patient outcomes and reducing unnecessary costs. She grew up in the Eastern Upper Peninsula, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Technology from Northern Michigan University and has a Masters in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University. Pins-Schallip has a background in Healthcare Quality, Risk and Compliance. She is co-leading the Health Equity initiatives for MyMichigan Health and has found that patient advocacy extends beyond the walls of the hospital into our communities with community partners. She is a Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety (TeamSTEPPS) Master Trainer, Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt, and holds a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification.

Belinda Dokic is one of two Post-Acute Managers for Trinity Health Alliance of Michigan. She holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Coach, bringing more than 20 years of experience in quality improvement, project management, and process optimization. Dokic previously served as a manager for the Southeast Michigan Accountable Care Organizations for four years, where she gained extensive experience in Population Health. Throughout her career, she has led numerous complexes, statewide initiatives and has played a key role in the development and implementation of enterprise-wide programs. Currently, Dokic manages the Post-Acute Network in Southeast Michigan and oversees the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Liaison Program in West Michigan. Due to its success, the SNF Liaison Program is scheduled to expand to SEMI later this summer.

Rachel is a Site Engagement Coordinator with the Michigan Value Collaborative and has been with the team for almost 2 years. She began her healthcare professional pathway with her Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation where she utilized therapeutic modalities in skilled nursing and independent senior living communities. In 2020 Rachel transitioned to a position at Michigan Medicine, where she focused on developing more administrative and project development skills within the Care Management department. In 2023 she graduated with a master degree in health administration and a year later joined the MVC team to continue her professional adventure.

Cindy Ingersoll is a Post-Acute Manager for Trinity Health Alliance of Michigan. She has her bachelor’s degree in nursing. During her 40 years’ nursing experience, Ingersoll has gained expertise in case management from both the payer and provider perspective. She assisted in development of the current Post-Acute Care Coordinator role and process at Trinity Health Alliance of West Michigan. Ingersoll has served several interdisciplinary committees designed to improve process flow, troubleshoot claim payment issues, and address various population health opportunities in the post-acute arena. She is currently managing a small team of Post-Acute Care Coordinators and Transitional Care Managers in West Michigan and is hopeful of expanding this team to Southeast Michigan within the next year.

Adrien Ross is a graduate of University of Michigan where she received her Master of Science in Nursing Degree in 2012. She is a Certified Professional of Healthcare Quality since 2022. In 2006, she joined Corewell Health in Grand Rapids working in the Medical Intensive Care Unit as a bedside Registered Nurse, served as shared leadership chair, and a Nursing Supervisor. She transitioned to the quality department in 2013 where she has worked with a variety of different service lines and leaders, including Emergency Department, Radiology, Cardiovascular Services, and Digestive Services. Since 2013, Adrien has served multiple roles within the quality department, with most recently being a Lead, Quality Improvement Specialist supporting work with Patient Safety Indicators and Co-Chair of the Catalyst Community for Improvement Coaches.

Adrien has been a member of NAHQs Healthcare Quality Certification Committee since 2022. In 2019, she presented at the Michigan Annual Critical Access Hospital Conference on Using High Reliability Principles to Improve Stroke Care. In 2022, she presented at the Vizient Conference in Las Vegas, NV on Quality, Documentation, and Coding Collaborate to Reduce Patient Safety Indicators. In 2024, she had a poster presentation at American College of Surgeons Quality and Safety Conference and at NAHQs conference on Patient Safety Indicators. In 2025, she co-presented on improvement hubs and their benefit to moving organizations forward at NAHQ Next conference.

Heidi Steinhebel serves as Senior Associate Director of Care Management at Trinity Health IHA Medical Group where she provides strategic and operational leadership across care management functions. She brings deep expertise in care coordination, team development, and performance improvement within complex healthcare systems. Steinhebel is passionate about advancing patient-centered, value-based care and building strong interdisciplinary partnerships to improve outcomes. Her work focuses on aligning clinical practice with operational excellence to support both patients and care teams.

Caitlin Valley has served as the Director for Quality and Population Health at Trinity Health IHA Medical Group since October 2022. She has been with Trinity Health for just over 19 years and has served in a variety of roles from bedside care as a Patient Care Technician to Operations to now Quality and Population Health. In 2024 Valley earned her MPH from Walden University and holds a BS from Eastern Michigan University with a Major in Biology and Minor in Psychology. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing and is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. She is a current member of the Michigan Value Collaborative Advisory Committee as well as a member of the MSHIELD Advisory Council.

Emily Woltmann is a project manager with the Michigan Value Collaborative, supporting value-based initiatives including cardiac rehabilitation, pre-operative testing, and development of systems-focused metrics. Her interest in bridging the gap between evidence-based care and real-world patient and provider experiences began as a community mental health worker and led her to earn an MSW from the University of Michigan, emphasizing policy analysis and program evaluation. She later completed a PhD at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, contributing to national efforts to implement evidence-based practices in community settings and studying factors that influence successful adoption, including workforce stability and decision-support tools. She has worked across healthcare and academic environments and loves the opportunity to support quality improvement and value-based initiatives in Michigan.

Larrea Young is a human-centered multimedia designer for HBOM and MCT2D. She is a designer, illustrator, and educator creating human-centered design solutions with a focus on food, health, and the environment. She is passionate about using design research to create solutions that help people live happier, healthier lives. Larrea has a BFA in design from Indiana University and a Master’s of Design in integrative design from the University of Michigan.
